Imagine you are traveling to a cyber-locked country, purchased a VPN connection in a hurry, and haven’t read or watched its reviews online because you could not connect to readout its reviews. In normal tethering, when we share the smartphone’s internet connection with our PC or laptop a separate IP address is allocated to the computer whereas the method we share today is focused on how to connect Android smartphones and Windows PC using a single IP address. All the internet traffic is routed through the smartphone and the PC will connect to the internet behind the IP address of the smartphone.
Step 1: Make a connection between Windows PC and Android smartphone using any type of connectivity method. You can use Wifi, Bluetooth, USB tethering, or even Wifi extension can also be used in this accord. (Wifi Extention: Smartphone connected with a Wifi router and PC connected with Mobile Hotspot Tethering).
Step 2: After a successful connection, make sure you have all the required applications available. In order to share the Android smartphone’s VPN, a third-party application is needed which is Every Proxy.
Step 3: Connect your Android smartphone to the VPN you have.
Step 4: Open Every Proxy application: Two options will appear HTTP/HTTPS & Socks 4 / 5. Choose the first one which is HTTP/HTTPS because it is faster than Socks if you have a security concern just go with Socks 5.
Step 5: (Optional) If you want to set your custom proxy, port, and authentication just tap on three dots on the top right corner and find out the settings options there.
Step 6: In your Windows PC search for the proxy setting and set the parameters as given in the Every Proxy app.
Step 7: Open Web-Browser and search for IP LOOKUP to confirm everything goes fine.
How to Connect Firefox to Custom Proxy
If you want to connect your Firefox browser to VPN tethered proxy just follow the steps below.
Step 1: Go to Setting of Firefox browser.
Step 2: Click on General.
Step 3: Scroll down to find Network Setting.
Step 4: Check the circle Manual Proxy Configuration.
Step 5: Click on OK to Save.
